Ayrton
Senna was the 14th Brazilian to drive in Formula
One. His first race took place in Brazil in
84, driving for Toleman Team. Senna had a strong
performance at the Grand Prix of Monaco, when
he finished second, after overtaking many top-drivers,
including Niki Lauda. The race was ended by
the organizers earlier than it should be, due
to heavy rain. Senna would probably have won
it, as he was getting close to Prost, the leader,
very fast. Ayrton was the 9th in the Drivers
Standings in 84.
